Jesus appears after His resurrection as a woman prays, with a message of hope and Luke 24:6 quoted

He Is Risen – A Personal Resurrection Sunday Experience

On the morning of April 20th, I stood with my church family, listening as Pastor Aaron read from Luke 24—the powerful chapter that tells of Christ’s resurrection. The room was still, sacred hymns filled the air, and as we heard the words “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!” (Luke 24:5–6), something in my heart broke open.

Tears streamed down my face—not of sorrow, but of gratitude. I felt the weight of His suffering, the depth of His love, and the beauty of His victory over death. At that moment, I wasn’t just hearing a story from Scripture—I was experiencing it. I was there in spirit with the women at the tomb, with the disciples on the road to Emmaus, with those who trembled in awe as Jesus appeared among them, showing His wounds and speaking peace.

That morning, I received more than a sermon. I received the presence of the Risen Christ. I felt His light in my heart, His voice in my spirit. I prayed, not with formality, but with surrender. I told Jesus, “I want to follow You. I want to live like You. Let me walk in Your light.”

Resurrection Day became a turning point for me. I left church not the same person who entered. Jesus gave me new life, new hope, and a freedom that cannot be taken away. I am no longer bound by fear or doubt—I am walking in His light, renewed by His grace.
